About Cole Hafer

 Cole Hafer

With the cost of a transplant often exceeding $500,000, many transplant patients are unable to shoulder the financial burden of such a procedure.  The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) is a national charity dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-needy patients.  In Richmond, volunteers are raising funds for local child, Cole Hafer.

Born on May 10, 2005, Cole was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia, and doctors at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Ohio recommended a life-saving liver transplant.  Richmond volunteers are trying to raise an estimated $60,000 to help Cole and his family.

Health issues aside, Cole is an energetic and loving boy who likes running around outside with his dogs, pretending to be a super hero and jumping on his mother's bed! Please help Cole continue to be able to live life like any other child.

Donations and prayers are greatly appreciated. And Volunteers are needed to assist with a variety of fundraising activities.  Individuals and groups interested in more information can contact Campaign Coordinator Sharon Brager at 804-282-1324 or sbrager@comcast.net.
